(a):No firemen in class II will be allowed to appear for the Shunter's examination until he has reached the fifth year's pay of his class and has on the main line for at least eighteen months of which total may be made up of broken periods.
(ক) দ্বিতীয় শ্রেণীর কোনো ফায়ারম্যান তার শ্রেণীর পঞ্চম বছরের বেতন স্কেলে না পৌঁছানো পর্যন্ত এবং মেইন লাইনে কমপক্ষে আঠারো মাস কাজ না করা পর্যন্ত শান্টারের পরীক্ষায় অংশ নেওয়ার সুযোগ পাবেন না; এই আঠারো মাসের সময়কালটি বিভিন্ন খণ্ড খণ্ড মেয়াদেও সম্পন্ন হতে পারে。
(b) Firemen (Passed Shunter) in class I who have done six months actual shunting and those in class I who have done twelve months actual shunting, may be allowed to sit for the drivers examination and if passed, may be utilised as drivers on goods trains only. The six and twelve months shunting may be made up of broken periods. No firemen in class I shall be padded as drivers unless he can read code initials, train and private numbers and dates and is fully competent to work with line clears and tokens.
