Recruitment of Firemen:1304 (a) Firemen Class I . :Intelligent lads who have had no experience, have no special educational qualification will be employed as cleaners and subsequently promoted to 2nd firemen (class I),as and when vacancies occur. They must be over 16 and under 18 years of age at the time of appointment and of good physique.Ordinarily they will be required to work for two years ad cleaners before promotion to firemen.
ফায়ারম্যান নিয়োগ: ১৩০৪ (ক) প্রথম শ্রেণীর ফায়ারম্যান। :অভিজ্ঞতাহীন ও বিশেষ কোনো শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা নেই এমন বুদ্ধিমান তরুণদের ক্লিনার হিসেবে নিয়োগ দেওয়া হবে এবং পরবর্তীতে শূন্যপদ তৈরি হওয়া সাপেক্ষে তাদের দ্বিতীয় ফায়ারম্যান (প্রথম শ্রেণী) পদে পদোন্নতি দেওয়া হবে। নিয়োগের সময় তাদের বয়স অবশ্যই ১৬ বছরের বেশি এবং ১৮ বছরের কম হতে হবে এবং সুস্বাস্থ্যের অধিকারী হতে হবে। সাধারণত ফায়ারম্যান পদে পদোন্নতি পাওয়ার আগে তাদের ক্লিনার হিসেবে দুই বছর কাজ করতে হবে।
(b) Apprentice Firemen. Lads who have had no experience but who have passed the Matriculation or and equivalent examination will be engaged and trained as Apprentice Firemen for three years subject to the following conditions.
(খ) শিক্ষানবিস ফায়ারম্যান। অভিজ্ঞতাহীন কিন্তু ম্যাট্রিকুলেশন বা সমমানের পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ তরুণদের নিম্নলিখিত শর্ত সাপেক্ষে তিন বছরের জন্য শিক্ষানবিস ফায়ারম্যান হিসেবে নিয়োগ ও প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে।
(i) They must be not less than 16 or more than 20 years of age and must be of specially good physique. (ii) They must be passed the Matriculation standard or Junior cambridge or and equivalent examination. (iii) The first two years of apprenticeship shall be spent in shed and workshop, the third years in firing which normally shall include 2 months shunting engine, 5 months on goods engine and 5 months of passenger service. Especially efficient lads at the discretion of the District Officers be employed on Mail and Express Service (for details in this respect see rules for the Recruitment and training of Apprentice Firemen).

(c) Firemen, class II 80 percent of the vacancies in this category shall by filled from amongst them who have satisfactorily completed the three years course of Apprentice Firemen, referred to in .

(b) above. The remaining 20 percent will be reserved for promotion of deserving class I in the following manner:
(iii) শিক্ষানবিসকালের প্রথম দুই বছর শেড এবং ওয়ার্কশপে কাটবে; তৃতীয় বছর কাটবে ফায়ারম্যানের কাজে (ফায়ারিং), যার মধ্যে সাধারণত ২ মাস শান্টিং ইঞ্জিনে, ৫ মাস মালবাহী ইঞ্জিনে এবং ৫ মাস যাত্রীবাহী ট্রেন সার্ভিসে কাজ করা অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকবে। ডিস্ট্রিক্ট অফিসারদের বিবেচনা অনুযায়ী বিশেষভাবে দক্ষ তরুণদের মেইল ও এক্সপ্রেস ট্রেন সার্ভিসে নিয়োজিত করা যেতে পারে (এ বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত জানতে শিক্ষানবিস ফায়ারম্যান নিয়োগ ও প্রশিক্ষণ সংক্রান্ত নিয়মাবলী দেখুন)।
(i) As soon as the number of vacancies to be filled by promotion is determined, each DME?AME in Charge will be asked top submit the names of two class I Firemen for each vacancy who fulfil the conditions given in paragraph
(গ) দ্বিতীয় শ্রেণীর ফায়ারম্যান এই ক্যাটাগরির শূন্যপদের ৮০ শতাংশ পূরণ করা হবে তাদের মধ্য থেকে যারা উপরে (খ) অনুচ্ছেদে উল্লেখিত শিক্ষানবিস ফায়ারম্যানদের তিন বছরের কোর্স সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন করেছেন।
(ii)below. The following information in respect of those recommended as well as of those senior to them will also be required:
অবশিষ্ট ২০ শতাংশ পদ প্রথম শ্রেণীর যোগ্য কর্মীদের মধ্য থেকে পদোন্নতির মাধ্যমে নিম্নোক্ত উপায়ে পূরণ করার জন্য সংরক্ষিত থাকবে:
1.Rank 2.Name 3.Date of birth 4.Date of appointment. 5.Educational qualification 6.why recommended or not recommended. A departmental selection board will then interview the persons recommended and select the most suitable persons for promotion placing them in order or merit.In calculating teh 20 percent vacancies as above , the result is not even one vacancy, the number of vacancies to be reserved for promotion shall be one.
(i) পদোন্নতির মাধ্যমে কতটি শূন্যপদ পূরণ করা হবে তা নির্ধারিত হওয়ার সাথে সাথে, দায়িত্বে থাকা প্রত্যেক ডিএমই (DME) / এএমই (AME)-কে প্রতিটি শূন্যপদের বিপরীতে নিচের (ii) অনুচ্ছেদে বর্ণিত শর্ত পূরণকারী দুইজন করে প্রথম শ্রেণীর ফায়ারম্যানের নাম জমা দেওয়ার জন্য বলা হবে।
(ii)Only those Class I firemen possessing the following qualifications will be considered for promotion of class II in the 20 percent vacancies reserved for them
সুপারিশকৃত কর্মীদের পাশাপাশি তাদের চেয়ে জ্যেষ্ঠ (সিনিয়র) কর্মীদের ক্ষেত্রেও নিম্নলিখিত তথ্যাদি প্রয়োজন হবে:
(a) Literate to the extent of reading and writing English with fluency and a smart knowledge of simple arithmetic.
১. পদবি ২. নাম ৩. জন্ম তারিখ ৪. নিয়োগের তারিখ ৫. শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা ৬. সুপারিশ করার বা না করার কারণ। এরপর একটি বিভাগীয় নির্বাচন বোর্ড সুপারিশকৃত ব্যক্তিদের সাক্ষাৎকার গ্রহণ করবে এবং মেধার ক্রমানুসারে পদোন্নতির জন্য সবচেয়ে উপযুক্ত ব্যক্তিদের নির্বাচন করবে। উপরোক্ত নিয়মে ২০ শতাংশ শূন্যপদ হিসাব করার সময় যদি ফলাফল একটি শূন্যপদের চেয়েও কম আসে, তবে পদোন্নতির জন্য সংরক্ষিত শূন্যপদের সংখ্যা একটি ধরা হবে।
(b)Having not less 4 years of service and being below age of 27 years
(ii) শুধুমাত্র নিম্নলিখিত যোগ্যতাসম্পন্ন প্রথম শ্রেণীর ফায়ারম্যানদেরই তাদের জন্য সংরক্ষিত ২০ শতাংশ শূন্যপদে দ্বিতীয় শ্রেণীতে পদোন্নতির জন্য বিবেচনা করা হবে:
(c) In special circumstances, however, men may be directly recruited as class II . according to qualifications, subject to the approval of the Chief Mechanical Engineer in each case but such appointment should normally be on the starting pay of the highest class or intermediate class should be confined as far as possible to men who have had previous experience as firemen and to Ex_soldiers. Such men will start as firemen on the Government service or if they have had no previous experiecne as firemen, thy will work for the first two months on shunting engines, after which they will be employed on the Government service, then subsequent employment on more important service depending on themselves and on the need of the service.
(ক) সাবলীলভাবে ইংরেজি পড়তে ও লিখতে পারার মতো শিক্ষাগত যোগ্যতা এবং সাধারণ পাটিগণিতে ভালো দক্ষতা থাকতে হবে।
