Promotions of Shunter's to drivers: 1303: (a) A shunter in class II may not sit for the driver's examination unless he has done six months actual shunting, which may be made up of broken periods. After passing the driver's examination and on reaching the highest pay of his class , a further service fo six months is necessary before he can be permanently promoted as driver.
শান্টার থেকে চালক পদে পদোন্নতি: ১৩০৩: (ক) দ্বিতীয় শ্রেণীর একজন শান্টার কমপক্ষে ছয় মাস বাস্তব শান্টিংয়ের কাজ না করলে চালকের পরীক্ষায় অংশ নিতে পারবেন না; এই ছয় মাসের সময়কালটি বিভিন্ন খণ্ড খণ্ড মেয়াদেও সম্পন্ন হতে পারে। চালকের পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হওয়ার পর এবং নিজের শ্রেণীর সর্বোচ্চ বেতন স্কেলে পৌঁছানোর পর, চালক হিসেবে স্থায়ীভাবে পদোন্নতি পাওয়ার জন্য তাকে আরও ছয় মাস চাকরি করতে হবে।
(b) A shunter in class I must put in at least twelve months actual shunting which may be made of broken periods, before sitting for the driver's examination, and after passing the driver's examination he must server for another two years before he is eligible for permanent promotion as driver.
(খ) প্রথম শ্রেণীর একজন শান্টারকে চালকের পরীক্ষায় বসার আগে কমপক্ষে বারো মাস বাস্তব শান্টিংয়ের কাজ করতে হবে, যা খণ্ড খণ্ড মেয়াদেও সম্পন্ন হতে পারে। চালকের পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হওয়ার পর চালক হিসেবে স্থায়ী পদোন্নতির যোগ্য হতে তাকে আরও দুই বছর চাকরি করতে হবে।
(c) No shunter in class I shall be passed as a driver unless he can read code initials , train and private number and dates and is fully competent to work with line clear and tokens.
(গ) প্রথম শ্রেণীর কোনো শান্টারকে চালক হিসেবে উত্তীর্ণ করা হবে না, যদি না তিনি কোডের আদ্যক্ষর, ট্রেন ও প্রাইভেট নম্বর এবং তারিখ পড়তে পারেন এবং লাইন ক্লিয়ার ও টোকেন ব্যবহার করে ট্রেন পরিচালনায় পুরোপুরি পারদর্শী হন।
(d) The services of any shunter who fails to pass the Driver's examination within five years of confirmation will be dispensed with.
(ঘ) চাকরি স্থায়ী বা নিশ্চিত হওয়ার পাঁচ বছরের মধ্যে কোনো শান্টার যদি চালকের পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হতে ব্যর্থ হন, তবে তাকে চাকরি থেকে অব্যাহতি দেওয়া হবে।
(e) A shunter(passed driver) working as a driver will be paid at lower rate of a driver of the corresponding class and will be paid overtime allowance of the scale as laid down for drivers.
(ঙ) চালক হিসেবে কর্মরত একজন শান্টার (যিনি চালক পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ) সংশ্লিষ্ট শ্রেণীর চালকের সর্বনিম্ন হারে বেতন পাবেন এবং চালকদের জন্য নির্ধারিত স্কেল অনুযায়ী ওভারটাইম বা অতিরিক্ত কাজের ভাতা পাবেন।
(f) When a shunter is employed in the higher grade, he will be paid for the period he is so employed, the minimum pay of the higher grade if that is more than his substantive pay and if the mimimum pay is the same or less than his substantive pay , then he will draw pay at the stage above his substantive pay in the higher grade.
(চ) যখন কোনো শান্টারকে উচ্চতর গ্রেডে নিয়োগ করা হবে, তখন তিনি সেই উচ্চতর গ্রেডে কর্মরত থাকাকালীন সময়ের জন্য ওই উচ্চতর গ্রেডের সর্বনিম্ন বেতন পাবেন, যদি তা তার মূল বেতনের চেয়ে বেশি হয়। আর যদি উচ্চতর গ্রেডের সর্বনিম্ন বেতন তার মূল বেতনের সমান বা কম হয়, তবে তিনি উচ্চতর গ্রেডে তার মূল বেতনের পরবর্তী ধাপের বেতন পাবেন।
