(ক) ফুটপ্লেটে ড্রাইভার বা শান্টার ব্যতীত কোনো ইঞ্জিন দাঁড় করিয়ে রাখা হলে তার রেগুলেটর শক্তভাবে বন্ধ রাখতে হবে, হ্যান্ড ব্রেক কষে রাখতে হবে, রিভার্সিং লিভার মিড-গিয়ারে রাখতে হবে এবং সিলিন্ডারের ককগুলো সম্পূর্ণ খোলা রাখতে হবে।

(a) Any engine left standing with out a driver or shunter on the foot plate must have the regulator tightly shut, the hand brake hard on reversing lever in mid gear and the cylinder cocks wide open.

(খ) হঠাৎ ঝড় বা অন্য কোনো কারণে লোকো সাইডিংয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা যানবাহন বা ওয়াগনগুলো যাতে নিজে নিজে গড়িয়ে চলে না যায় (run away), তা প্রতিরোধ করার জন্য সমস্ত প্রয়োজনীয় সতর্কতা অবলম্বন করতে হবে।

(b) Every precaution must be taken to prevent vehicles standing in loco sidings from running away , due to a sudden storm or any other cause

কয়লা ইয়ার্ড (coal yards) ব্যতীত অন্যান্য স্থানে কর্মীদের অবশ্যই রেললাইনের মাঝখান দিয়ে না হেঁটে দুটি ট্র্যাকের মধ্যবর্তী ফাঁকা জায়গা দিয়ে হাঁটতে হবে। কয়লা ইয়ার্ডে হাঁটার সময় চলন্ত ইঞ্জিনের ওপর কড়া নজর রাখতে হবে।

Staff must walk between the tracks, and not between the rails, except in the coal yards, when they should keep a sharp lookout for moving engines.

সচল বা চলন্ত অবস্থায় লোকোমোটিভ ও যন্ত্রপাতি পরিষ্কার করা : ৩০৭:

Cleaning of Locomotives and Machinery in motion: 307:

সচল বা ঘূর্ণনশীল অবস্থায় লোকোমোটিভ এবং যেকোনো ধরনের যন্ত্রপাতি পরিষ্কার করা কঠোরভাবে নিষিদ্ধ।

The cleaning of locomotive , and all classes of machinery in motion , is strictly prohibited.
