নিয়ম অনুযায়ী, কর্মচারীদের প্রতি সমন সাধারণত বিভাগীয় প্রধান বা জেলা কর্মকর্তার মাধ্যমে জারি করা হয়। তবে কোনো কর্মচারী যদি সরাসরি আদালত বা পুলিশের কাছ থেকে উপস্থিত হওয়ার নির্দেশ পান, তবে তাকে অবিলম্বে তার ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তাকে বিষয়টি জানাতে হবে যাতে প্রয়োজনে তার বিকল্প কাজের (রিলিফ) ব্যবস্থা করা যায়। এই তথ্য জানাতে ব্যর্থ হলে তা অত্যন্ত গুরুতর অপরাধ হিসেবে গণ্য করা হবে।

As a rule summons are served on employees through the Head of the Department, or the District Officer, but when an employee receives direct intimation that his attendance is required by the Court or the police, he must give the earliest possible intimation to his superior officer to allow of relief being arranged when necessary failure to do which will be regarded most seriously.

এই বিভাগের কর্মচারীদের মধ্যে এমন যেকোনো ধরনের ঋণ আদান-প্রদান করা কঠোরভাবে নিষিদ্ধ, যার মাধ্যমে ঋণদাতা কোনো আর্থিক বা বস্তুগত সুবিধা লাভ করে (সুদের কারবার)। এ ধরনের কোনো ঘটনা চিফ মেকানিক্যাল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারের নজরে আসলে সংশ্লিষ্টদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর শাস্তিমূলক ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।

এই বিভাগের যেসব কর্মচারী স্বেচ্ছায় এমন ঋণ বা দায়বদ্ধতায় জড়িয়ে পড়েন যা পরিশোধ করতে তারা অক্ষম, তারা চাকরি থেকে বরখাস্ত হওয়ার যোগ্য বলে বিবেচিত হবেন।

Employees of this department who voluntarily contract debts or obligations which they are unable to meet, render themselves liable to dismissal.
