Tests for promotion and higher grade: 213 :

ট্রেড টেস্ট (Trade Tests) ডিস্ট্রিক্ট অফিসার কর্তৃক ঘোষিত তারিখে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। আধা-দক্ষ (semiskilled) বা দক্ষ (skilled) গ্রেডে পদোন্নতির যোগ্যতা অর্জনের জন্য যেসকল কর্মচারী পরীক্ষায় অংশ নিতে চান, তাদেরকে এই পরীক্ষায় বসার অনুমতি দিতে হবে এবং পরীক্ষার ফলাফল তাদের সার্ভিস রেকর্ডে লিপিবদ্ধ করতে হবে। শ্রমিকদের গ্রেড বা শ্রেণীভিত্তিক পদোন্নতি কেবল জ্যেষ্ঠতার (seniority) ভিত্তিতে দেওয়া উচিত নয়; তবে অন্যান্য সকল যোগ্যতা সমান হলে জ্যেষ্ঠতা অনুযায়ী পদোন্নতি দেওয়া হবে। ট্রেড টেস্ট একজন অ্যাসিস্ট্যান্ট অফিসার দ্বারা পরিচালিত হতে হবে এবং পরীক্ষার ফলাফলে ডিস্ট্রিক্ট অফিসারের অনুমোদন থাকতে হবে।

Trade Tests will be held on dates notified by the District Officer and staff, who offer themselves for the same with a view to qualifying themselves for promotion to semiskilled or skilled grades should be permitted to sit for such tests and the results of the test recorded in their service records. Class promotion of workmen should not merely be given in order of seniority but where all things are equal, such promotion should be according to seniority. Trade Tests should be conducted by and Assistant Officer and the results should have the approval of the District Officer.
