লাইন পরিষ্কার বা সচল করার দায়িত্ব: ১৪০৩:

Responsibility for clearing the line : 1403 :

(ক) দুর্ঘটনাকবলিত বা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত গাড়ি ও ইঞ্জিন সরিয়ে লাইন পরিষ্কার করা এবং ধ্বংসস্তূপ থেকে মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করার মূল দায়িত্ব মেকানিক্যাল বিভাগের ওপর ন্যস্ত থাকে, যেখানে অন্য সকল বিভাগ তাদের সর্বোচ্চ সহায়তা প্রদান করবে। রেললাইন বা ট্র্যাক মেরামত এবং যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা পুনঃস্থাপন করার জন্য ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগ দায়ী থাকবে। ট্রেন নিয়ন্ত্রণ সংক্রান্ত সমস্ত ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ এবং দুর্ঘটনাস্থল পর্যন্ত সমস্ত ট্রেনের যাতায়াত পরিচালনার দায়িত্ব থাকবে ট্রান্সপোর্টেশন বা পরিবহন বিভাগের ওপর。

(a) The duty of clearing the line of damaged vehicles and engines , and extraction of the dead bodies from teh debris rests primarily with the Mechanical Department , all other departments doing their utmost to assist. The Engineering Department is responsible for repairing the track and for restoring communication. The Transportation Department is responsible for making all arrangements in connection with controlling trains, and for the movement of all trains up to the site of the accident

(খ) লাইন পরিষ্কার করার দায়িত্বে নিয়োজিত কর্মকর্তার অধীনে সমস্ত বিভাগের সম্পদ ও জনবল উন্মুক্তভাবে নিয়োজিত করতে হবে এবং জ্যেষ্ঠ ট্রাফিক প্রতিনিধি বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করার জন্য দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত থাকবেন。

(b) The resources of all departments are to be freely placed at the disposal of the officer in charge of clearing the line, and the senior Traffic representative is responsible for seeing that this is done.

(গ) উন্মুক্ত লাইনে সরাসরি যোগাযোগ বিচ্ছিন্ন হলে, ডিস্ট্রিক্ট মেকানিক্যাল ইঞ্জিনিয়ার বা তাঁর সহকারী যখনই সম্ভব লাইন পরিষ্কার করার কাজ সরাসরি তত্ত্বাবধান করবেন। রিলিফ ট্রেনটি যে স্টেশন থেকে যাত্রা শুরু করে সেখানে তিনি উপস্থিত থাকলে অবশ্যই রিলিফ ট্রেনের সাথে দুর্ঘটনাস্থলে যাবেন অথবা যাত্রাপথে রিলিফ ট্রেনে যোগ দেবেন। যদি তাঁর পক্ষে তা করা সম্ভব না হয়, তবে তিনি সম্ভাব্য দ্রুততম উপায়ে দুর্ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছানোর চেষ্টা করবেন।

(c) District Mechanical Engineer or his Assistant should whenever practicable supervise clearing of line when through communication on the open line is interrupted. He must accompany the Relief Train proceeding to the site of accidents when present at the station where from the Relief Train starts or join it en route to the site of accident. If it is not practicable for him to do so, he should try to reach the site of accident by the quickest means possible.
